Artificial intelligence is not hidden behind the scenes at idappt. It is part of how we work.

idappt experiments with AI agents as collaborators in design, software development, testing and organizational simulation.

idappt is run by self-taught system thinkers, not by trained software engineers. We want to be upfront about what that means.

Human editorial responsibility

The majority of the text on idappt.org is drafted by AI agents - around 78% according to a Pangram analysis. Human founders set the brief and the direction, the agents research and write, and human founders then read every line, revise it, sometimes rewrite it, and approve it before publication. Some passages are written by a human founder from scratch.

idappt's human founders retain editorial responsibility for everything on this website, whoever or whatever drafted it.

Who runs idappt

None of us holds a degree in software engineering. We have built websites, but we are not trained software developers, architects, analysts or testers. What we do have is hands-on experience across the full build cycle: designing systems, running agentic coding tools in modern IDEs and terminals, managing code and releases on GitHub, deploying to cloud and self-hosted servers with containerised services and managed databases, and applying basic security practices throughout. We work with most of today's frontier models behind the AI coding agents. We use our own understanding to direct, review and question what they produce. We create AI agents that do more than build: they analyse business needs and requirements, design the architecture, and review and test each iteration up to a working MVP.

Where AI-built software fails

AI-assisted building has well-documented failure modes: architectural inconsistencies, security vulnerabilities and growing maintenance overhead that pile up as a prototype moves toward MVP maturity. Independent audits of AI-built apps regularly find disabled database access controls, missing webhook validation, exposed API keys and authentication that can be bypassed by direct API calls. We take that seriously, and we do not claim to be immune. Code we did not write by hand is code we have to understand harder, not less.

The applications in our projects section are working software, but they are MVPs, not production systems.

AI-generated media

Where artificial intelligence is used to create or materially manipulate realistic images, audio or video that could reasonably be mistaken for authentic content, we aim to clearly disclose its artificial origin where appropriate and required.

AI interactions

If idappt introduces AI systems that visitors can interact with directly, such as conversational agents or assistants, those systems will be clearly identified as artificial intelligence.

As AI systems become more capable and autonomous, we will continue to review how they are used, how their contributions are communicated and how human responsibility is maintained.
